Dr Ainsley Newson

Dr Ainsley Newson is Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Ethics in the Centre for Ethics in Medicine (hyperlink: http://www.bris.ac.uk/ethicsinmedicine/staff/newson.html) at the University of Bristol, where she is heavily involved in teaching medical ethics and law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Ainsley has a PhD in Medical Ethics and Bachelors degrees in Science and Law. Her research interests include clinical and reproductive decision-making in genetics and synthetic biology. Ainsley is a UK representative of the European Clinical Ethics Network. She also sits on the BMJ Ethics Committee and the Editorial Committee of the RSM Press journal Clinical Ethics (a role in which she edits the 'Case Studies' series).
